• Design, develop, and maintain custom Shopify themes , templates, and components using Liquid , HTML5 , CSS3 , JavaScript , and modern frameworks.

• Implement dynamic, mobile-first, high-performance storefronts with custom UI/UX components .

• Integrate Shopify stores with third-party apps , payment gateways , inventory systems , CRMs , and ERP platforms using Shopify APIs (REST GraphQL) .

• Build and customize functionality for Shopify Plus , including scripts, checkout customizations, and automation.

• Collaborate with UI/UX designers, backend developers, QA, and DevOps teams in an Agile development environment.

• Troubleshoot performance issues, debug Liquid templates, and ensure cross-browser compatibility and SEO best practices .

• Participate in code reviews , UAT testing , and post-launch support .

• Maintain clean, scalable, and well-documented code following Shopify and industry standards .

Required Skills :

• 3+ years of experience in Shopify development , including Shopify Plus

• Proficiency in:

  • Liquid templating language
  • JavaScript/jQuery , HTML5 , CSS3 , SCSS
  • Shopify CLI, ThemeKit, or GitHub integration with Shopify

• Experience with custom themes , sections , and dynamic content blocks

• Knowledge of Shopify APIs (REST/GraphQL) for app and data integration

• Strong understanding of eCommerce best practices , responsive design, and page performance optimization

• Experience working with cross-functional teams in Agile/Scrum methodology

Good to Have :

• Experience with Headless Shopify using Hydrogen or React
• Familiarity with Storefront API , Oxygen hosting , or custom app development
• Knowledge of Shopify Functions , Checkout Extensibility , or Shopify Scripts
• Integration experience with platforms like Klaviyo, ReCharge, Yotpo, Algolia , etc
• Understanding of SEO , analytics tagging , and structured data (JSON-LD)
