Short-Form Video Creator (Shoot & Edit) — Mugo Space

About the role
Mugo Space is an interior design and build studio. We're hiring a video editor to create short-form content for Mugo Space and our hospitality client, growing their audiences and driving enquiries and bookings.

Key responsibilities

• Edit short-form videos for Mugo Space and our hospitality client, each with its own brand identity and marketing direction.
• Develop concepts, hooks, angles and packaging (titles, thumbnails, opening 3 seconds) that grow reach, followers, enquiries and bookings.
• Shoot and edit completed interior project videos showing design detail, space planning, materials, lighting and colour tone.
• Shoot and edit hospitality content: room tours, guest experience, facilities and promotions.
• Edit with strong craft: pacing, colour grading, music, subtitles, transitions and visual storytelling.
• Work with the team to turn ideas, scripts and raw footage into finished videos, and pitch your own concepts.
• Adapt each edit to the platform's audience, format and objective, with TikTok as the main focus. Repurpose content for YouTube, XHS, Instagram and Meta Ads (organic and paid).

Requirements

• Proven experience in video editing, social media content or ad production. Portfolio or showreel required.
• Proficient in CapCut. Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve is a plus.
• Basic shooting skills: phone or mirrorless camera, gimbal, framing interiors in natural and artificial light.
• Strong grasp of short-form structure, trends, hooks, pacing and retention.
• Good eye for colour, composition and clean, modern visuals, ideally from interior design, property, hospitality, lifestyle or premium brand work.
• Able to switch styles between Mugo Space and client work while keeping each brand consistent.
• Able to communicate in Mandarin and BM. English is a plus.
