Short Form Video Editor

Job Summary:
We're seeking a Social Media Video Editor & Content Specialist to lead short-form video content creation for a growing beauty and skincare brand. The role is video-first: you'll shape raw footage into scroll-stopping Reels, TikToks, and Shorts that hook viewers inside three seconds and carry a story worth staying for. Alongside editing, you'll own caption writing, adapt content natively for each platform, and turn out supporting marketing assets. The right person brings a premium, polished design sensibility and knows what makes beauty content convert.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cut raw footage into high-performing short-form videos for Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts
• Construct videos with strong narrative structure and a hook that grabs attention inside the first three seconds
• Layer in captions, subtitles, text overlays, transitions, trending audio, and sound design consistent with brand style
• Write every caption and hook in the brand voice, tuned to each platform's audience
• Repurpose and reshape content across platforms so each version feels native rather than recycled
• Build and produce marketing assets and creative materials in Figma to back campaigns and launches
• Back Amazon A+ content with product visuals and creative assets
• Manage social media posting across all platforms and hold a steady publishing rhythm
• Follow content performance across channels and report on views, engagement, retention, and reach
• Pinpoint top-performing content, trends, and formats, and recommend what to make more of
• Keep raw footage, project files, and finished assets tidy and easy to retrieve
• Work with the brand manager on creative direction, priorities, and revisions

Mandatory Skills:

• Demonstrated experience cutting short-form video content for Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts
• Proficiency in Figma — a required tool for design and asset production
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and CapCut for video editing
• Strong video storytelling ability, with a track record of hooks that stop the scroll inside three seconds
• Excellent copywriting skills for social captions and hooks, with the knack for writing in a defined brand voice
• Grasp of platform-specific formats, aspect ratios, durations, and native best practices
• Capacity to handle and post content across multiple social platforms
• At ease working with AI tools such as Claude and ChatGPT to support content workflows
• Strong aesthetic sense, with authentic, original design work and an eye for premium visual quality
• Ability to read social media analytics and convert results into content decisions
• Dependable, precise, and capable of working with minimal oversight
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English

Preferred Skills:

• Portfolio work with beauty, skincare, cosmetics, wellness, or prestige and luxury brands
• Background with Amazon A+ content, listing images, or Amazon Seller Central creative
• Familiarity with Shopify and e-commerce product content
• Track record creating marketing videos built to drive sales, not just engagement
• Working knowledge of further design tools such as Photoshop or Canva
• Familiarity with content scheduling and publishing tools
• Capacity to run multiple content projects and deadlines concurrently
• Sharp awareness of current beauty content trends, creators, and formats
