Short-Form Video Editor & Content Creator

Desert Media Agency is growing fast, and we’re looking to add a creative, reliable, and fast-moving editor to our team.

We work with a wide variety of brands including e-commerce businesses, service-based companies, events, wellness brands, local businesses, and product-based companies. Most of the raw content will already be provided. We’re looking for someone who can take that content and turn it into polished, engaging, conversion-focused social media content.

This is a great opportunity for someone who moves quickly, pays attention to the details, communicates well, and wants to grow with an agency.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Editing short-form videos for Instagram Reels, TikTok, Meta ads, and other social platforms
• Turning raw footage into engaging, fast-paced content
• Adding captions, text overlays, transitions, music, hooks, and other elements that improve retention
• Editing both organic social content and conversion-focused paid ad creatives
• Creating simple, clean Canva graphics, static posts, carousels, and ad creatives when needed
• Brainstorming hooks, editing concepts, content angles, and creative ideas with our team
• Working across multiple different industries and brand styles
• Following brand guidelines and maintaining consistency for each client
• Handling revisions quickly and accurately
• Staying organized and keeping up with weekly content deadlines

Who We’re Looking For

You should be:

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced agency environment
• Able to take direction and make changes quickly
• Creative enough to contribute your own ideas instead of only following instructions
• Familiar with current short-form content trends
• Able to understand the difference between content designed for engagement and content designed to convert
• Interested in growing with a rapidly expanding team

Experience with Canva is a major plus.

Experience editing Meta ad creatives, e-commerce ads, UGC-style content, service-business content, or direct-response creative is highly preferred.

Editing Style

We are not looking for overly complicated or overproduced editing.

We like content that feels:

• Native to social media
• Conversion-focused when used for advertising

You should understand how to create a strong hook within the first few seconds and keep viewers watching without making every video feel overly edited.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10.0 – 25.0 per week
