Short-Form Video Editor

Job Summary:
Our search is on for a creative Social Media Video Editor who can give a faith-based brand a high-fashion, editorial magazine look. The brand helps grown women grow in confidence, elegance, and femininity. You’ll shape glamorous talking-head teaching videos into polished Reels with animated captions and expressive typography, and you’ll produce cinematic nature and lifestyle pieces with soft, dreamy color and carefully mixed sound. You’ll stand out if you have a standout short-form portfolio, a refined eye for feminine, luxurious aesthetics, and the ability to turn raw footage into upload-ready content with very little back and forth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cut short teaching videos into polished Reels featuring striking animated captions, text effects such as hand-swipe text reveals, and smooth transitions
• Edit long-form YouTube videos (5+ minutes), adding captions and on-screen text that hold viewers’ attention
• Produce cinematic edits from B-roll and lifestyle footage (nature, journaling, walking scenes), using soft, dreamy color grading, natural sound, music, and voiceovers
• Create magazine-style headline captions and expressive typography with gentle movement that stays elegant and readable
• Maintain consistent fonts, lettering, color, and overall visual style across every piece of content
• Deliver upload-ready videos from raw footage with few revisions needed
• Create video thumbnails in line with the brand aesthetic
• Follow short-form video trends on Instagram and YouTube and adapt them to suit the brand
• When time permits, rework existing videos into new formats and help with social media posting

Mandatory Skills:

• Strong short-form portfolio (Reels, TikTok, Shorts) showing standout animated caption and motion text work
• Long-form YouTube editing experience
• An eye for elegant, feminine, high-end aesthetics - engaging without looking childish
• Color grading and audio editing skills, including blending music, natural sound, and voiceover
• Comfortable editing faith-based (Christian) content
• Strong written English for accurate captions
• Responds well to style feedback and delivers dependable turnaround
• Diligent, careful, and self-managing
• Strong communication skills

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with DaVinci Resolve or Premiere Pro, plus After Effects for motion typography
• Thumbnail design experience in Canva or Photoshop
• Experience editing for lifestyle, fashion, beauty, coaching, or faith-based creators
• Understanding of retention-focused editing for YouTube and Instagram
• Able to work on several projects concurrently
