Shotblast Operator

The Shotblast Operator position is to provide secondary support to the production team and the machine shop to ensure that all parts are inspected and shotblast to a high standard before going to the customer.

To work as part of a two man shift team, to receive the parts from production, follow quality visual inspection to a high standard, shotblast products as per work instructions, and pack in accordance to packaging requirements of the customer.

• To inspect all goods produced for any defects as per quality department work instructions.
• In a timely manner highlight any high levels of scrap
• To ensure housekeeping of cell is kept up to date, the working area is organised, clean and free from H&S hazards
• To set speed of conveyor for each part produced to relevant setting
• To follow packing instructions as highlighted by the Quality department
• To ensure that daily work sheets are correct and kept up to date
• Have the ability to use initiative
• Have good attention to detail
• Have ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines
• 12 hour shifts
• Full training will be given
• Shift premium paid at 11% on day shift and 17% on night shift

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £14.23-£15.01 per hour
