Job Summary

Shafa Group is looking for an experienced and skilled Shovel Operator to operate and maintain a wheel loader at our Ready-Mix Concrete (RMC) plant. The successful candidate will be responsible for loading aggregates and other raw materials into the batching plant hoppers, maintaining efficient material handling operations, and ensuring safe equipment operation.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate a wheel loader/shovel safely and efficiently within the RMC plant premises.
• Load aggregates such as sand, crushed stone, and gravel into designated batching plant hoppers.
• Transfer and stockpile raw materials in designated storage areas.
• Ensure the continuous supply of aggregates to the batching plant to avoid production delays.
• Follow instructions from the plant supervisor and batching plant operator regarding material requirements.
• Inspect the loader before and after each shift and report any mechanical defects or operational issues.
• Perform routine checks on engine oil, coolant, hydraulic systems, tyres, brakes, and other essential components.
• Maintain proper housekeeping around aggregate stockpiles and loading areas.
• Follow plant traffic rules, safety procedures, and operational guidelines.
• Prevent material contamination by handling different aggregate types carefully.
• Coordinate with the batching plant team to ensure smooth and uninterrupted production.
• Maintain equipment cleanliness and report maintenance requirements promptly.
• Comply with all applicable health, safety, and environmental requirements.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Shovel Operator or Wheel Loader Operator, preferably in an RMC plant or concrete batching plant.
• Experience handling aggregates, sand, gravel, and other construction materials.
• Valid UAE heavy equipment operator licence or relevant authorization, as applicable to the equipment and operation.
• Good knowledge of wheel loader operation, basic equipment inspection, and safety procedures.
• Ability to operate equipment safely in a busy industrial environment.
• Physically fit and capable of working in an outdoor plant environment.
• Ability to follow instructions and coordinate effectively with plant personnel.
• Willingness to work shifts and overtime as required by plant operations.
• Immediate joiners will be preferred.

Pay: AED1,700.00 - AED3,000.00 per month
