What they need

Programmed Industrial Maintenance | Perth WA | Full Time

Are you an experienced shutdown professional who knows what it takes to get the right people, in the right place, at the right time and deliver a successful shutdown?

Programmed Industrial Maintenance is looking for an experienced Shutdown Coordinator to join our team and take a key role in coordinating and delivering shutdown activities across our Western Australian client portfolio.

This is a hands-on operational role suited to someone who understands shutdowns from planning and mobilisation right through to site execution and close-out.

You will work closely with our clients, Supervisors, recruitment and mobilisation teams and shutdown workforce to ensure each shutdown is properly planned, resourced and delivered.

The Role

You will take ownership of the coordination and delivery of shutdown activities, including:

Planning upcoming shutdowns and workforce requirements.

Reviewing client scopes, schedules and labour requirements.

Coordinating Supervisors, trades and supporting personnel.

Working closely with recruitment and mobilisation teams to fill shutdown requirements.

Ensuring personnel are compliant and ready for mobilisation.

Coordinating site access, inductions, travel and mobilisation requirements.

Attending client shutdown and planning meetings.

Supporting Supervisors and crews during shutdown execution.

Maintaining regular communication with clients throughout the shutdown.

Managing changing labour requirements and resolving operational issues.

Monitoring safety, productivity and workforce performance.

Supporting incident management and investigations where required.

Completing post-shutdown reviews and identifying opportunities for improvement.

Building strong relationships with our clients and shutdown workforce.

About You

We are looking for someone with genuine shutdown experience who understands the realities of delivering maintenance work in the WA mining and resources industry.

You will ideally bring:

Previous shutdown or maintenance experience within mining, fixed plant, mineral processing or heavy industry.

A trade background and previous site leadership experience will be highly regarded.

S26 qualification

Strong workforce planning and coordination experience.

Experience managing trades and Supervisors.

Strong safety leadership.

Excellent organisational and communication skills.

The ability to manage multiple priorities and changing shutdown requirements.

Confidence dealing directly with clients and site representatives.

A practical, solutions-focused approach.

Strong computer and administrative skills.

A current Australian driver's licence.

Why Join Programmed?

This is an opportunity to move into a key role within our Industrial Maintenance team and have genuine ownership of shutdown delivery.

Rather than simply supervising a single shutdown, you will be involved across the full shutdown lifecycle and work with multiple clients and sites throughout Western Australia.

Benefits included in this opportunity:

Full time ongoing opportunity

Attractive market pay rate (Home base rate + site uplift)

Fully maintained company vehicle.

Superannuation on all hours worked

Take ownership of shutdown planning and delivery.

Work directly with major mining and industrial clients.

Develop and maintain a strong shutdown workforce.

Work closely with an experienced operational team.

Build long-term client relationships.

Contribute to the continued growth of our Industrial Maintenance business.

The role will be Perth based with travel to client sites as required, particularly during shutdown execution and key planning activities.

If you have strong shutdown experience and are looking for a role where you can take greater ownership of planning, people and delivery, we would like to hear from you.
