This role provides dedicated scheduling capability across a Fixed Plant shutdown program, covering detailed schedule development, resource loading, critical path management and live execution control.

The Role
The Fixed Plant Shutdown Maintenance team is seeking an experienced Shutdown Scheduler to provide dedicated scheduling capability across the Fixed Plant shutdown program.

You will take ownership of the detailed shutdown schedule, schedule logic, resource loading, critical path management and live schedule control across major and routine shutdown events.

Working closely with the Shutdown Maintenance Coordinator, Shutdown Planners, Maintenance, Operations, Engineering, Execution teams and contractors, you will ensure shutdown schedules are detailed, executable, actively managed and accurately reflect field progress.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Developing and controlling complex maintenance shutdown schedules
• Managing schedules through the planning, freeze and execution phases
• Building and maintaining shutdown sequencing and schedule logic
• Resource loading shutdown schedules
• Identifying labour, equipment and work face conflicts
• Highlighting resource constraints before and during execution
• Supporting resource levelling and optimisation
• Taking ownership of the live shutdown schedule during execution
• Conducting regular schedule updates and progress reviews
• Tracking actual progress against the baseline schedule
• Managing critical path changes and emerging constraints
• Live tracking shutdown execution and adjusting schedules in real time
• Developing work packs
• Maintaining alignment between SAP, shutdown work packs and the master schedule
• Providing regular shutdown schedule updates
• Reporting schedule performance, critical path status and key variances

What You’ll Bring

• Demonstrated experience as a Shutdown Scheduler within a mining or heavy industrial environment
• Experience developing and controlling complex maintenance shutdown schedules
• Experience managing schedules through planning, freeze and execution phases
• Strong understanding of shutdown sequencing, work fronts, labour requirements and critical path management
• Proven experience live tracking shutdown execution and adjusting schedules in real time
• Strong Microsoft Project capability
• Strong SAP Plant Maintenance and work order experience
• Experience with Palmcrest
• Experience working with large maintenance shutdowns and multiple contractors
• Ability to interpret maintenance work scopes and convert them into practical execution schedules
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both planning and execution teams
• Strong understanding of maintenance and shutdown processes within a Fixed Plant environment
