Shuttering Carpenter

Job Summary

We are seeking a CSCS Shuttering Carpenter to join our construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for constructing, installing, and removing formwork (shuttering) used to shape concrete structures in commercial and industrial projects.

Duties

• Construct, assemble, and install formwork using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and mechanical fasteners.
• Ensure formwork is properly aligned, levelled, and secured to withstand concrete pour pressures.
• Remove formwork carefully after concrete has set while maintaining the integrity of the structure.
• Perform heavy lifting tasks safely to transport materials such as timber, steel, and scaffolding components.
• Conduct routine inspections of formwork for stability and safety compliance throughout the project.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Shuttering Carpenter
• Proficiency with hand tools (e.g., hammers, chisels), power tools (e.g., drills, saws), welding equipment, and mechanical fasteners.
• Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, masonry work, roofing basics, and structural forms.
• Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot tool malfunctions or structural issues on-site.

Pay: £24.00-£25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 47.0 – 55.0 per week
