Shuttle Truck Driver (CDL-A)

YMX Logistics is seeking a reliable CDL-A Shuttle Driver to safely transport freight between customer and distribution center locations. This role is critical to maintaining on-time deliveries, accurate documentation, and exceptional customer service while complying with all DOT and company safety standards.

What You'll Do

• Safely operate CDL-A shuttle vehicles and yard tractors in compliance with DOT regulations and company safety standards.
• Transport trailers and freight between customer, warehouse, and distribution center locations.
• Move and position trailers within the yard to support loading, unloading, and operational efficiency.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections and promptly report maintenance or repair needs.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, warehouse personnel, customers, and fellow drivers.
• Accurately complete required paperwork, inspection reports, logs, and delivery documentation.
• Provide professional and courteous service while representing YMX Logistics.
• Follow all hours-of-service requirements, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Identify and resolve transportation challenges to maintain service and delivery schedules.
• Assist with basic equipment upkeep, including fueling and routine vehicle checks.
• Work collaboratively with operations teams to ensure smooth and efficient freight movement.
• Maintain excellent attendance, reliability, and punctuality.

Physical Requirements

• Sit and operate equipment for extended periods
• Frequently enter and exit truck cabs
• Bend, twist, reach, and climb as needed
• Walk throughout the yard during inspections
• Occasionally lift up to 20 pounds
• Maintain visual awareness, including depth perception and color recognition

Work Environment

• Primarily outdoor work environment
• Exposure to varying weather conditions including heat, cold, rain, snow, and ice
• Exposure to moving equipment and diesel-powered vehicles
• Safety-focused work environment requiring adherence to company protocols

Pay Transparency
Compensation is based on shift assignment, location, applicable differentials, and eligibility for incentive programs. Additional details will be discussed during the hiring process.

Job Requirements:
Required Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL with a current Medical Examiner's Certificate (Medical Card)
• Clean driving record
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent

Insurance Eligibility Requirements

• Minimum 6 months of verifiable CDL-A driving experience
• No major violations within the past 5 years
• No more than 2 preventable accidents and 2 moving violations within the past 5 years
• No speeding violations exceeding 15 MPH over the posted limit within the past 5 years
• No reckless driving convictions within the past 5 years

Wage Range: 26.75 - 28.75 per hour
