ON-DEMAND & ON-CALL SHUTTLE VAN DRIVER

EK4KIDS is hiring On-Call and Backup Shuttle Van Drivers to provide safe and reliable transportation for children to and from school.

We are looking for someone who loves working with children, enjoys being around kids, and takes pride in providing safe and dependable transportation.

Schedule

• • Morning: 6:00 AM – 9:00 AM
• • Afternoon: 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM
• • On-demand / as needed
• • Flexible hours based on school transportation needs
• • Opportunities for backup and regular school-year assignments

Responsibilities

• • Safely transport children to and from school
• • Follow assigned routes and schedules
• • Maintain a professional and positive attitude around children
• • Follow all EK4KIDS safety and transportation policies
• • Communicate promptly with the EK4KIDS team regarding delays, schedule changes, or concerns
• • Keep the vehicle clean and safe for passengersIdeal Candidate

• • Professional and patient- Comfortable driving a shuttle van
• • Available for morning and/or afternoon school routes
• • Previous experience with children or school transportation is a plus

IMPORTANT

Because this is an on-demand position, the driver must live approximately 15–25 minutes from our EK4kids base in Gaithersburg, MD.

REQUIREMENT

• Clean driving record
• Valid driver's license
• Professional driving experience preferred
• Experience driving an SUV and/or 15-passenger van
• Must be punctual and consistently on time
• Minimum 4-hour job commitment
• Must know how to navigate Washington, DC, Maryland, and Northern Virginia Comfortable driving in heavy traffic and busy city areas
• Excellent knowledge of GPS/navigation apps
• Professional communication and customer service skills
• Patient and comfortable working with children and families
• Reliable and responsible
• No smoking while providing service
• Must maintain a clean and professional appearance
• Must be able to follow EK4kids transportation policies and procedures
• Must be flexible and able to accept assignments 24–72 hours in advance
