Sign Fitter / Sign Maker

We are looking for a practical, reliable and motivated Sign Fitter / Sign Maker to join our busy team.

This is a varied, hands-on role covering all aspects of signage production and installation. The successful candidate will be involved in jobs from preparation and manufacture through to final installation at customers’ premises.

Main Duties

• Installation of internal and external signage
• Fitting sign trays, flat panels, acrylic lettering and other signage
• Installation of window graphics, vinyl lettering and manifestations
• Installation of vehicle graphics and commercial vehicle signwriting
• Preparing vehicles and surfaces ready for vinyl application
• Making and assembling signs in the workshop
• Applying vinyl and printed graphics to various substrates
• Preparing signage ready for installation
• Loading and preparing materials, tools and equipment for fitting jobs
• Removing existing signage and graphics where required
• Using hand tools and power tools safely
• Working from measurements, drawings and job specifications
• Ensuring completed work is fitted neatly and to a high standard
• Keeping the workshop and fitting areas clean, organised and safe
• Helping with other production and general duties across the business when required

About the Role

This is a varied position, so we are looking for someone who is happy to get involved with different areas of the business rather than carrying out one specific task.

You will work both in the workshop and out on site, dealing with a wide range of signage, print and vehicle graphics projects.

The ideal candidate will be practical, able to use their initiative and take pride in producing and installing work to a high standard.

Ideal Candidate

Previous experience within sign making, sign fitting, vinyl application or vehicle graphics would be an advantage.

A full UK driving licence would be preferred due to the installation side of the role.

The role offers plenty of variety, with the opportunity to work on everything from shop signage and window graphics to vehicle graphics, printed signage and bespoke sign projects.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From £13.50 per hour

Expected hours: 24.0 – 32.0 per week
