Job Title: Sign Installer Apprentice

Location: Plymouth, MA
Schedule: Full-time (Monday–Thursday, 10 hour shift 0700-5:30) - 4 10's
Pay Range: depending on experience (negotiable)

Job Summary

Brenner Signs is seeking a dependable, hands-on Sign Installer preferably from a similar trade/tech school who has relevant technical skills and is willing to learn with our lead installer. This position focuses on the installation of a variety of signage types, including freestanding signs, sign cabinets, wall-mounted signs, and flagpoles. You’ll also be responsible for operating lifts, digging equipment, and leading a small team on-site.

This is a great opportunity for someone with a background/from a tech school, construction, sign installation, or rigging who enjoys working outdoors and tackling unique, non-repetitive project and is willing to learn and grow with our experienced team.

Primary Responsibilities

• Install signage including:
• Freestanding signs and monuments
• Aluminum and steel sign cabinets
• Wall-mounted dimensional signs
• Flagpoles
• Dig and pour footings for sign foundations using mini-excavator (Kubota or similar)
• Operate bucket truck and hydraulic lifts for elevated installations
• Use hoisting gear and rigging for large/heavy installs
• Lead a small team on-site and delegate tasks as needed
• Load, transport, and unload signs and materials safely
• Read and interpret install drawings and site plans
• Maintain clean and professional job sites
• Communicate with shop and project manager throughout each job
• Perform routine maintenance and care of install equipment
• Follow all OSHA, DOT, and company safety standards

Requirements

• Similar Trade, Tech School experience and willing to learn
• MA Hoisting License or willingness to acquire
• Comfortable working at heights and in varied outdoor conditions
• Strong knowledge of tools, hardware, and mechanical fastening
• Ability to learn/read site drawings, install specs, and use measuring tools
• Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and reliability
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
• OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred (or willingness to complete)
• Some basic electrical understanding is a plus (though we are not licensed electricians)

Preferred (Not Required)

• CDL license
• Welding, concrete, or masonry experience
• Surveying/leveling skills for foundations and footings
