Sign Installer / Shop Technician

NOW HIRING: EXPERIENCED SIGN INSTALLER / SHOP TECHNICIAN

Chad Abbott Signs is looking to hire 1–2 experienced, dependable full-time Sign Installers / Shop Technicians to join our growing team.

We are looking for someone with hands-on experience in the sign, construction, fabrication, or related industries who can contribute both in the shop and in the field.

Starting Pay: $18–$20 per hour

Pay based on experience and skill level.

Job Responsibilities

• Fabricate, assemble and install commercial signage
• Perform welding and metal fabrication
• Paint and finish sign components
• Apply vinyl graphics and wraps
• Install channel letters, cabinets, dimensional lettering and other signage
• Perform LED and electrical sign work
• Operate bucket trucks and other equipment
• Safely work from ladders, lifts and elevated work platforms
• Read measurements, drawings and installation instructions
• Load, unload and secure signs and materials
• Drive company vehicles to job sites
• Travel to customer locations for installations and service calls
• Maintain tools, equipment and a clean, organized shop
• Assist with general sign production and fabrication as needed

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

Applicants should have practical experience with several of the following:

• Welding / metal fabrication
• Painting and finishing
• Vinyl application
• Sign installation
• Bucket truck operation
• Electrical / LED sign work
• Power tools and fabrication equipment
• Construction or related trades

Sign industry experience is strongly preferred.

Applicants should be comfortable working at heights and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
