Sign Maker/Fitter

Responsibilities

• Interpret design specifications and technical drawings to produce custom signs using various materials and techniques
• Fabricate signs with precision, utilizing tools such as CNC machines, laser cutters, and hand tools
• Apply graphic design skills to create visually compelling signage, incorporating branding elements, typography, and graphics
• Install signs securely at designated locations, ensuring alignment, safety, and durability
• Collaborate with clients or project managers to understand signage requirements and provide expert advice on materials and installation methods
• Conduct quality checks on finished signs to meet high standards of craftsmanship and safety regulations
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, managing materials and equipment efficiently for smooth workflow

Skills

• Proficiency in graphic design software including Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Figma, Sketch, CorelDRAW, and InVision
• Strong understanding of digital design principles such as typography, visual hierarchy, and branding consistency
• Experience with UI design, motion graphics, logo creation, and digital marketing assets is a plus
• Knowledge of web technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, WordPress for integrating signage with digital platforms
• Skilled in using Adobe After Effects for animated signage or promotional displays
• Familiarity with installation techniques for various surfaces and environments; ability to operate power tools safely
• Excellent presentation skills to communicate ideas clearly to clients or team members
