Sign Production Technician

We are hiring a Sign Production Technician with experience producing large format graphics and installing vinyl. This is a hands-on position covering printing, finishing, application, and inspection of completed work.

Our projects involve adhesive vinyl, rigid substrates, and laminated graphics. The person in this role will coordinate with designers and production staff to confirm job requirements, select the appropriate materials and settings, and deliver finished pieces on schedule.

What You Will Do

• Review production instructions and confirm measurements, quantities, materials, and finishing requirements.
• Prepare print jobs in Epson Edge Print and Roland VersaWorks.
• Load materials and operate flatbed and roll-to-roll printing equipment.
• Check output throughout production and address print defects or color inconsistencies.
• Trim, weed, mask, laminate, and mount graphics.
• Apply vinyl graphics with careful positioning, alignment, and surface finishing.
• Compare completed pieces against approved job specifications before release.
• Track job progress and communicate material needs, technical questions, or delays.
• Complete routine printer care and troubleshoot common equipment issues.
• Maintain an orderly workspace and organized production files.
• Assist with Colex CNC cutting when qualified to operate the equipment.

Experience You Will Need

Applicants should have previous work experience in sign manufacturing, wide format printing, or a closely related production role.

You should be comfortable operating both flatbed and roll-fed printers, using RIP software, and handling vinyl installation. Accurate measuring, careful material handling, and the ability to identify problems before a job moves forward are essential.

This role also requires the ability to organize several assignments, respond to changes in the production schedule, and maintain consistent workmanship while meeting deadlines.
