Job summary

We are seeking a creative and skilled Signage Artist to design, produce, and install professional signs, banners, graphics, and other visual displays for clients. The ideal candidate should have strong artistic ability, attention to detail, and practical experience with signage production, design software, printing, and finishing techniques.

Job descriptions & requirements

Responsibilities:

• Design and create signs, banners, billboards, shopfront signs, vehicle branding, and other promotional displays.
• Develop creative concepts and layouts based on client requirements and brand guidelines.
• Prepare artwork and files for printing, cutting, engraving, and other production processes.
• Operate relevant signage production equipment, including printers, plotters, vinyl cutters, and laminators.
• Produce and apply vinyl graphics, lettering, stickers, and other signage materials.
• Perform cutting, mounting, laminating, painting, and finishing of signage products.
• Measure installation areas accurately and determine appropriate materials and dimensions.
• Install indoor and outdoor signs, banners, graphics, and displays safely and professionally.
• Work with materials such as acrylic, PVC, aluminium composite panels, vinyl, foam board, and related signage materials.
• Ensure colours, dimensions, layouts, and finishing meet approved designs and quality standards.
• Make necessary adjustments and corrections to artwork before production.
• Maintain signage production tools, machines, and work areas in good condition.
• Estimate materials required for signage projects and minimize unnecessary waste.
• Work closely with clients, sales staff, designers, and production team members to meet project requirements.
• Meet production deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Follow appropriate safety procedures during production and installation activities.

Requirements:

• SSCE or relevant training in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, Visual Arts, or a related field.
• Proven years of experience in signage production, graphic design, advertising, or a related field.
• Proficiency in CorelDRAW, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or similar design software.
• Practical knowledge of vinyl cutting, printing, laminating, mounting, and signage finishing.
• Ability to operate signage printers, plotters, and related production equipment.
• Strong artistic and creative skills with good attention to detail.
• Ability to read measurements and work accurately with dimensions.
• Good knowledge of signage materials and production techniques.
• Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience with signage installation is an added advantage.
• A portfolio of previous signage or design work is highly desirable.
