SIL House Support Workers/Community Support Workers

Join our Team as we are currently seeking high skilled Disability Support Workers within the Collingwood/Middle Park/Ipswich area to support our SIL house clients providing in-home personal care and daily living assistance and lifestyle requirements by providing person-centred care and support.

We are also currently seeking Disability Support & Aged Care Workers to work with our clients living in their own home in the community which would involve travelling between client's homes and assisting them with daily living assistance and lifestyle requirements by providing person-centred care and support in the Logan/Brisbane South, Ipswich, Carindale, and Mount Gravatt areas.

Duties and responsibilities may include:

• Personal care: showering, dressing, grooming and medication assistance
• Domestic assistance: light household cleaning, laundry and meal preparation
• Social support/transportation: social activities, shopping/groceries, travelling to medical appointments
• Supporting customers in the use of aids and personal equipment including: standing or walking frames, wheelchairs, manual or electric hoists, sliding sheets or moving boards, hearing aids and other physical aids
• Supporting customers with complex and/or challenging needs
• Monitoring the well-being of customers and reporting on their progress
• Participating in staff meetings and attending training as required

What you must have:

• Minimum Certificate III in Aged Care, Home & Community Care, Individual Support or Disability Services (required)
• Experience working in Disability/Mental Health/Aged Care
• Minimum 2+ years of experience in disability, mental health and aged care support services
• Experience in SIL (Supported Independent Living) houses is preferred but not essential
• Current CPR/First Aid Certificate
• Current and satisfactory NDIS Worker Screening/Yellow Card
• Current and satisfactory Working with Children/Blue Card or the ability to obtain
• Current Australian Driver's Licence
• Reliable, Registered and Insured vehicle (Comprehensive Insurance is required)
• Smartphone with internet access (required)
• Full Working Rights
