Position: Silicon Lab Engineer (Mobile Device Validation & Hardware Rework)

Location: Austin, TX (100% onsite)

Hire Type: Full Time

Hands-on mobile device hardware work. The client is specifically looking for engineers who are comfortable working directly on mobile phones, performing teardown, rework, soldering, and hardware modifications in a lab environment.

What the client is really looking for

Must-Have Skills:

• Mobile phone teardown and disassembly (Android/iPhone devices)
• Soldering, microsoldering and hardware rework
• BGA extraction, reballing, component replacement, and board modifications
• Hands-on lab experience using oscilloscopes, power analyzers, multimeters, etc.
• Board-level debugging and failure analysis
• Silicon Validation (SiVal) / Post-Silicon Validation
• Power and Performance Characterization
• Hardware troubleshooting and root cause analysis

Preferred Experience:

• Android or iOS device validation
• Mobile SoC validation
• JTAG debugging
• Python automation
• Power measurements and workload characterization

• Tear down phones
• Perform soldering and board rework
• Conduct silicon validation and power measurements
• Debug hardware issues using lab equipment
• Support characterization and analysis activities in a silicon lab environment
