Hiring: Validation Engineer 4

Location: San Jose, CA

Contract: 12 months, with possibility of extension

Pay Range: $50–$83/hour, depending on qualifications and experience

We are seeking a skilled Validation Engineer 4 to support a highly technical semiconductor engineering team focused on processor interface validation, platform-level electrical characterization, and hardware debugging.

What you'll do

• Develop and execute comprehensive electrical and functional test plans for processor interfaces.
• Perform platform-level electrical characterization and validation of processor I/O.
• Debug electrical and functional issues involving processor silicon and PC platforms.
• Use oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and hardware/software validation tools to investigate issues.
• Review schematics, layout documentation, and platform designs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and technicians.

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Approximately 8–10+ years of relevant engineering experience.
• Strong hands-on experience in processor, silicon, or platform-level validation.
• Demonstrated experience developing and executing electrical and functional test plans.
• Experience debugging processor or PC platform I/O interfaces.
• Familiarity with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, schematics, and layout documentation.
• Strong communication, documentation, and troubleshooting skills.
