Duties

• Set up and prepare silk screen printing equipment, ensuring proper alignment and registration of designs.
• Mix inks accurately according to color specifications, applying color theory principles to achieve desired hues.
• Print on various substrates such as textiles, paper, or plastics with consistent quality and efficiency.
• Maintain and troubleshoot screen printing machinery to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
• Inspect finished products for quality control, checking for color accuracy, registration, and overall print clarity.
• Clean screens, tools, and equipment thoroughly after each job to maintain equipment longevity.
• Collaborate with the design team to interpret digital artwork files created in graphic design software.

Requirements

• Proven experience in silk screen printing or related print production roles with a strong portfolio showcasing your work.
• Understanding of color theory and typography to ensure accurate reproduction of designs on various media.
• Ability to read technical drawings and digital designs for precise execution of print projects.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent manual dexterity for handling intricate screens and fine registration work.
• Basic understanding of layout design principles for print advertising or interior design applications is advantageous.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality.

Helpful but not a requirement:

• Knowledge of graphic design software including Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Figma for preparing artwork files.
• Familiarity with digital art creation, hand-drawn illustration, and visual storytelling techniques.
