Job Title: Silk Supervisor

Job Summary

The Silk Supervisor is responsible for supervising the day-to-day operations of the Silk Section, ensuring smooth sales activities, effective team performance, proper product display, stock management, and excellent customer service. The role involves guiding the sales team, monitoring section performance, and ensuring that customers receive a high-quality shopping experience.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

1. Section Operations

• Supervise the daily operations of the Silk Section.
• Ensure the section is properly maintained, organized, and ready for business.
• Monitor staff attendance, grooming, discipline, and work allocation.
• Ensure smooth coordination with the Branch Manager and other Departments.

2. Sales & Customer Service

• Monitor daily sales and support the team in achieving sales targets.
• Assist customers in selecting suitable Silk products based on their requirements.
• Handle customer queries and complaints professionally.
• Ensure excellent customer service and maintain customer satisfaction.
• Encourage the team to improve sales through proper product explanation and customer engagement.

3. Team Supervision

• Allocate duties and work responsibilities among Silk Section staff.
• Guide, train, and motivate sales staff to improve their performance.
• Monitor individual staff performance and provide necessary feedback.
• Ensure proper discipline and professional behavior within the section.

4. Product & Stock Management

• Monitor stock availability and ensure proper arrangement of Silk products.
• Coordinate with the Stock and Purchase Teams for stock requirements.
• Check product movement, shortages, damages, and stock discrepancies.
• Ensure proper folding, handling, tagging, and storage of Silk products.
• Support regular stock verification and maintain accurate Records.

5. Display & Visual Merchandising

• Ensure attractive and systematic display of Silk products.
• Maintain proper category-wise and price-wise product arrangement.
• Coordinate with the Visual Merchandising Team for promotional and seasonal displays.
• Ensure new arrivals and special collections are properly highlighted.

6. Sales Reporting & Monitoring

• Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance.
• Prepare and submit required sales Reports to the Branch Manager.
• Track fast-moving and slow-moving products.
• Monitor target achievement and identify areas for improvement.

7. Coordination & Compliance

• Coordinate with the Branch Manager, Accounts, Stock, Purchase, and other Departments.
• Ensure all section Processes are followed as per company guidelines.
• Maintain required Registers, Records, and Reports.
• Ensure proper implementation of company policies and customer service standards.

• Ability to manage the section efficiently during peak seasons.

Qualification & Experience

• Any Degree / Diploma or relevant qualification.
• 3–5 years of experience in Silk / Textile Retail Sales.
• Experience in supervising a Silk or Textile Section will be preferred.
• Candidates with strong Silk product knowledge and sales experience will be given preference.
• Languages known : Telugu (speaking will be given high priority), Tamil, Hindi, English
• Candidates from Kukatpally and nearby areas are preferred.
