To support our fast-scaling precious metals refining ecosystem, we are inviting dynamic, skilled, and dedicated Plant Operators to be part of our cutting-edge Silver Refinery & Minting Facility based in Surat, Gujarat.

Position Overview

We are looking for hands-on, experienced Refinery & Minting Operators proficient in silver electro-refining, high-precision vacuum bar casting, furnace management, and automated minting operations.

Selected operators will run day-to-day refining cycles, bullion production lines, chemical solution handling, and ensure the highest standards of metal recovery, purity assurance, and process safety.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

Furnace Operations & Bullion Casting:

Operate medium/high-frequency induction melting furnaces, bullion tunnel furnaces, and vacuum bar casting units.

Execute standard operating procedures for melting, dore silver processing, anode casting for electrolysis, and precision bullion bar casting (100g, 500g, 1kg, etc.).

Monitor mold preheating, protective atmosphere, furnace temperatures, and slag skimming to minimize metal loss.

Silver Electrolysis & Chemical Solution Handling:

Manage Moebius-type electrolysis cells, anode loading, cathode harvesting, and silver crystal collection.

Prepare, monitor, and maintain electrolyte chemistry (silver nitrate concentration, free nitric acid levels, pH, and bath temperature).

Handle acids, chemical solutions, scrubbing systems, and effluent treatment following standard operating procedures.

Minting & Blanking Operations:

Operate coin/bar blanking presses, edge-rimming, coin blank annealing, and surface pickling/polishing equipment.

Run hydraulic minting presses and coining machinery with precise pressure control for proof and uncirculated finishes.

Inspect die alignment, avoid die marks, and ensure high aesthetic definition on coins, medallions, and cast bars.

Quality Control & Process Safety (EHS):

Check daily physical weights, surface smoothness, dimensions, and visual purity of finished bullion bars and coins.

Coordinate with assaying and QA labs for metal purity compliance (999 & 999.9 fineness).

Maintain strict adherence to plant EHS (Environmental, Health & Safety), fire protection, chemical spill protocols, and use required PPE at all times.

Maintain accurate daily shift logs, raw material reconciliations, and precious metal inventory control.

Candidate Profile & Qualifications

Education: any with relevant industry experience.

Experience:

2 to 7+ years of hands-on experience in precious metals refineries, bullion minting plants, or non-ferrous metallurgical setups (candidates with experience in LBMA-standard or large-scale gold/silver refineries will be given high preference).

Skills: Expertise in silver electrolysis, induction furnaces, vacuum casting, blanking/minting machinery, acid handling, and metal loss control.
