Simulation Engineer

We’re partnering with a high-growth aerospace technology company developing next-generation stratospheric platforms for communications, imaging, and remote sensing.

We’re looking for a Simulation Lead to own the simulation environment for a high-altitude flight platform. You’ll lead a growing team building high-fidelity, real-time simulation capabilities used across flight software development, systems integration, testing, and mission readiness.

What You’ll Do

• Lead the architecture and development of flight and systems simulation.
• Manage and mentor simulation/software engineers.
• Develop high-fidelity models of vehicle dynamics, avionics, sensors, and payloads.
• Own SIL/HIL environments, scenario generation, telemetry playback, and mission rehearsal.
• Integrate simulation into CI/CD and automated regression testing.
• Partner closely with Flight Software, Avionics, Flight Test, and Mission Operations.
• Use flight-test data to continuously improve simulation fidelity.

What We’re Looking For

• 7+ years of software engineering experience, with 2+ years in technical leadership.
• Strong C++ and/or Python skills.
• Experience with simulation, modelling, or digital twins for aerospace, robotics, or complex physical systems.
• Understanding of vehicle dynamics, controls, guidance, or navigation.
• Experience with SIL/HIL testing.
• Proven ability to lead and develop engineering teams.

Nice to have: MATLAB/Simulink, JSBSim, aerospace/UAS/satellite experience, CI/CD, RTOS, and embedded avionics experience.
