Pay Range: $19.00 – $24.00 / hour (Includes base pay + tips)

We are looking for an energetic, dynamic, and organized Assistant Manager to join our leadership team and help keep our shop running seamlessly!

Position Overview

As the Assistant Manager, you will play a vital role in day-to-day operations, supporting our team, and maintaining the friendly, community-first atmosphere our regulars know and love. You will work closely with the upper management team to oversee daily floor operations, manage inventory, coordinate schedules, and foster a positive workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Floor Management & Workflow: Supervise daily floor workflow, jump on the bar during peak rushes, and ensure smooth, efficient operations and high customer satisfaction.
• Team Scheduling: Build and manage balanced weekly employee schedules that accommodate business flow and team availability.
• Inventory & Ordering: Track stock levels of coffee beans, baking ingredients, paper products, and retail goods; place routine vendor orders to prevent shortages.
• Communication & Leadership: Actively communicate expectations, policy updates, and daily goals to staff members to uphold our company standards for service, cleanliness, and product quality.
• Training & Development: Assist in onboarding and training new team members, helping them grow and adhere to safety, health, and service standards.

Qualifications & Skills

• Experience: Prior barista experience and leadership/supervisory experience are strongly encouraged, though not strictly required. We are excited to train the right candidate who brings enthusiasm, a positive attitude, and strong leadership potential!
• Organization & Time Management: Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks during busy morning rushes, and manage scheduling and inventory accurately.
• Strong Communication: Friendly, clear, and proactive communication skills with both customers and team members.
• Community Focus: A passion for small business culture, hospitality, and building genuine relationships with our neighborhood regulars.
• Flexibility: Willingness to work early mornings, weekends, or holidays as needed.
