Assignment

For an international organisation operating in a highly regulated financial environment, we are looking for an Interim SIRA Expert in Amsterdam. In this assignment, you will support the Compliance function in reviewing, updating, and coordinating the annual Systematic Integrity Risk Assessment (SIRA), ensuring the organisation remains compliant with regulatory requirements and that integrity risks are adequately identified, assessed, and documented.

You will work closely with Compliance, Risk Management, and first-line business stakeholders to assess changes in the organisation's products, services, activities, and regulatory landscape, translating these developments into a robust and board-ready SIRA for 2026.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the review and update of the annual SIRA assessment.
  • Assess whether the current SIRA remains accurate and relevant for 2026.
  • Identify and evaluate integrity risks across the organisation.
  • Engage with first-line business teams to understand new products, services, processes, and regulatory developments.
  • Facilitate workshops and risk discussions with key stakeholders.
  • Assess risks related to Anti-Money Laundering (AML), bribery & corruption, insider trading, and other integrity-related topics.
  • Challenge existing controls and identify potential gaps or areas for improvement.
  • Document findings and prepare reporting for senior management and board approval.
  • Coordinate the overall SIRA process and support final sign-off by the Board.

Profile

  • Proven experience as a Compliance Officer, Compliance Specialist, or Integrity Risk professional within a regulated financial environment.
  • Hands-on experience with SIRA assessments and integrity risk management.
  • Strong understanding of AML, financial crime, conduct risk, and compliance frameworks.
  • Experience working with both compliance teams and first-line business stakeholders.
  • Able to operate independently and manage multiple stakeholders effectively.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and reporting skills.
  • Fluent in English.

Nice to Have

  • Previous experience within a payments, fintech, banking, or other regulated financial services environment.
  • Experience presenting risk assessments or compliance findings to senior management and board-level stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of regulatory topics, sanctions compliance, and conduct risk.
  • Experience working in fast-paced, international organisations undergoing regulatory or business change
