Site Accountant

Role & responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting activities at the project site, including cash, petty cash and bank transactions.
• Verify and process vendor, supplier, subcontractor and site-related bills and payments.
• Maintain proper accounting records, vouchers, invoices and supporting documentation.
• Handle labour payments, employee advances, reimbursements and other site expenses.
• Prepare and maintain cash, bank, vendor and advance reconciliations.
• Coordinate with Stores and Purchase departments for material bills and related documentation.
• Prepare periodic expense statements, fund requirements and reports for Head Office.
• Assist in compliance related to GST, TDS and other statutory requirements.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, internal controls and accounting procedures.

Preferred candidate profile

• Proficiency in Tally/ERP and MS Excel.
• Sound knowledge of accounting principles, GST and TDS.
• Experience in construction/infrastructure project accounting will be preferred.
• Strong analytical, documentation and reconciliation skills.
• Ability to work independently and maintain accuracy and financial discipline at project sites.
