A leading data centre operator in Frankfurt is looking for a Site Acquisition Manager to join its growing team. You’ll take ownership of finding, assessing and securing the land and sites that the company’s next phase of growth depends on, working with landowners, municipalities, utilities and internal stakeholders to take each opportunity from first screening through to a signed deal.

This is a genuine chance to shape the future of one of Germany’s most active data centre markets. Power and grid connection are the main constraints on new capacity, so your judgement on utilities, electrical grids and due diligence will directly affect which sites the business pursues. You’ll work closely with senior leadership, with real visibility and influence over the site pipeline.

Responsibilities:

• Identify, assess and secure land and sites for data centre development
• Lead land and site acquisition from first screening through to deal close
• Assess power availability and grid connection options, working with utilities and network operators
• Run technical and commercial due diligence on shortlisted sites
• Manage relationships with landowners, brokers, municipalities and utilities
• Work with internal engineering, commercial and legal teams to take sites forward
• Report to senior leadership on the site pipeline and recommendations

Skills/Must have:

• Proven experience in land and site acquisition, ideally for data centres or large-scale infrastructure
• Strong knowledge of power and utilities, including electrical grids and grid connections
• Experience leading technical and commercial due diligence on sites
• Confident working with landowners, municipalities, utilities and internal stakeholders
• Based in Frankfurt, or able to work from Frankfurt
• Experience in data centre development or pre-development
• Hyperscale or colocation background
• Experience with TSO and DSO grid connection processes
• Background in energy, utilities or renewables
