What they need
Far North Queensland | Remote Mining Camp | 8&6 Roster | $90,000–$95,000 + Super
Tired of the same remote routine?
We are a modern twist to the typical remote workplace. We're rethinking what remote camp life looks like! Better facilities, better food, better culture, and a genuine investment in the people who keep our sites running. It's remote work without the "just get through the swing" mentality. Welcome to the new remote.
We are an integrated facility services provider, delivering hospitality and support services to companies operating in remote and regional locations across Australia. We provide vital workplace support for people working in some of the most isolated and demanding environments, including remote mine sites throughout Far North Queensland.
Due to significant growth across our Far North Queensland remote operations, we are looking for an experienced Site Administration Supervisor to be the operational engine room of a newly established camp at a mining operation in FAr North Queensland. The camp is currently home to approximately 80 residents, with growth planned to approximately 180 residents within the next few months.
This is the role that keeps the whole village moving. Flights, transfers, water, fuel and the cleaning team all run through you. If you're the sort of person who spots the problem before anyone else has noticed it, you'll enjoy this one.
Reporting to the Site Manager, the successful candidate will work an 8 days on / 6 days off roster. Onsite accommodation and meals are included.
The Position
- Site Administration Supervisor – 8&6 roster – $90,000–$95,000 + super
Your day to day will cover:
Booking and managing flights and travel for FIFO employees, including changes, cancellations and last-minute mobilisations
Coordinating bus transfers between camp, site and airports, and keeping the transport schedule aligned with shift changes
Scheduling water cartage and monitoring tank levels so the village never runs short
Ordering and reconciling diesel and fuel deliveries, and maintaining accurate usage records
Supervising the village cleaning team, including rosters, task allocation, training and quality checks
Maintaining accommodation allocations, arrivals and departures, and room readiness
Keeping site registers, inductions and compliance records accurate and audit-ready
Supporting the Site Manager with reporting, timesheets, rosters and general village administration
The Person
Proven site-based administration experience, ideally in mining, remote camps, construction or hospitality
Experience supervising a small team, with the confidence to set standards and hold them
Travel and accommodation booking experience (FIFO travel highly regarded)
Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and Outlook
Highly organised, calm under pressure, and comfortable juggling competing priorities
Clear, friendly communicator who can deal with residents, suppliers, drivers and the client
Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screen
The Benefits
As a team member, you will have the support, infrastructure, systems and processes of an established facility services provider. You'll also enjoy:
Onsite accommodation and meals while on swing
A genuine seat at the table with the Site Manager, not just a desk in the corner
The chance to build the systems from the ground up as the camp grows
Career pathways as we continue to grow across Far North Queensland
