Our client is hiring in the land transport sector. You will be part of a project team overseeing the deployment, installation and testing of equipment and systems across sites islandwide, working alongside the client's appointed contractors.
This is a hands-on coordination role. You will spend a significant part of your week at project sites rather than in the office, and testing work is carried out at night.
What you will do
Site works

- Review planned work schedules and method statements for readiness before site works begin
- Support the appointed contractor in obtaining clearances and approvals from internal and external parties before works commence

- Supervise ongoing site works for compliance with regulations, by-laws and standard operating procedures
- Make sure safety rules and regulations are followed by all site personnel
- Supervise site reinstatement works and handover to the maintenance parties after completion
- Resolve unexpected issues that come up on site
System testing
- Support the appointed contractor in securing clearances and approvals ahead of actual testing
- Travel islandwide to carry out testing during and outside office hours, including scheduled night testing
- Liaise with the contractor to monitor and update the testing programme and work schedule
- Work with internal and external project parties so that resources for testing are in place on time
- Make sure test data, results and reports are submitted on schedule for analysis
- Attend test review meetings and prepare meeting records
- Support site handover exercises islandwide
What you will need
- Diploma or Degree in Electronics and Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent practical qualification
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in system testing, or in managing and coordinating site works. This should include supervising the installation and maintenance of electrical equipment or civil infrastructure, and coordinating with government or utility agencies and contractors
- Sound analytical and problem-solving ability, with a meticulous and resourceful approach to site issues
- Able to work independently on site as well as within a project team
- Working proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Good spoken and written English, as the role requires you to review method statements and test reports, prepare meeting records, and liaise with agencies and contractors in English
Working arrangements
- The role requires daily travel between the office and project sites across Singapore
- Night work between 9pm and 6am is required based on project needs
- A valid Class 3 driving licence is an advantage, as the role involves independent travel between multiple sites, including outside public transport operating hours (Transport reimbursement may be provided)
