Site Civil Engineer

About the role

The Site Civil Engineer will monitor daily construction activities and ensure work is performed according to approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements. This role involves coordinating with foremen and skilled workers, inspecting completed and ongoing work, monitoring project progress, and ensuring compliance with safety procedures and construction standards.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor daily construction activities and ensure work is performed according to approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements
• Coordinate with foremen and skilled workers regarding work assignments, schedules, and daily site activities
• Inspect completed and ongoing work to ensure proper quality, measurements, materials, and construction methods
• Monitor project progress, manpower productivity, material usage, and work schedules; prepare regular progress reports
• Identify and resolve technical issues, coordinate with contractors and management, and ensure compliance with company safety procedures and applicable construction standards

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
• Preferably 2–3 years of experience in construction, site supervision, or civil engineering
• Able to read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and construction-related software
• Good leadership, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills
• Strong knowledge of construction safety practices
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to work under pressure
• Willing to work on-site and adjust to project schedules when required
