SITE CIVIL ENGINEER

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and responsible Site Engineer with a minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in interior architectural design, landscaping, construction and fit-out works. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising and coordinating site activities, ensuring that all works are executed according to approved drawings, design specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and project schedules.

The candidate must have strong technical knowledge, site management skills, and the ability to coordinate effectively with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and site workers. Applicants must hold a valid Qatar driving license and be available for local hiring in Qatar.

Key Responsibilities

1. Site Supervision and Project Execution

* Supervise daily site activities for interior fit-out, architectural finishing, , and related construction works.

* Ensure all works are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements.

* Monitor site progress and ensure projects are completed within the agreed schedule.

* Coordinate and supervise workers, subcontractors, and site teams.

* Conduct regular site inspections to ensure proper execution and workmanship.

2. Interior Design and Fit-Out Works

* Supervise installation and finishing works involving gypsum partitions, ceilings, flooring, tiling, painting, joinery, carpentry, furniture, and other interior finishing materials.

* Coordinate the installation of decorative features, customized furniture, and architectural elements.

* Review drawings and identify technical issues or discrepancies before and during execution.

* Coordinate with designers and technical teams to ensure the approved design is implemented accurately.

3. Landscaping Works

* Supervise landscaping and outdoor improvement projects, including planting, garden layouts, paving, outdoor flooring, and decorative landscape features.

* Coordinate with landscaping teams and suppliers to ensure materials and workmanship meet project requirements.

* Monitor site preparation, levels, measurements, and installation works.

* Ensure landscaping works are completed according to approved layouts and specifications.

4. Project Coordination and Reporting

* Coordinate with clients, consultants, project managers, suppliers, and subcontractors.

* Prepare daily site reports, progress updates, material requests, and work schedules.

* Monitor material delivery, usage, and availability to avoid project delays.

* Identify site problems and provide practical technical solutions.

* Report project progress, delays, variations, and other site issues to management.

5. Quality Control and Safety

* Ensure all completed works meet the required quality standards and approved specifications.

* Inspect materials and finished works for defects and non-compliance.

* Ensure workers follow site safety procedures and use the required personal protective equipment (PPE).

* Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.

* Coordinate the correction of defective or incomplete works.

6. Documentation and Measurements

* Read and interpret architectural drawings, construction plans, and technical specifications.

* Conduct site measurements and verify dimensions before installation.

* Assist in quantity take-offs, material estimation, and preparation of bills of quantities (BOQ).

* Maintain accurate site records, inspection reports, and project documentation.

* Assist in preparing snag lists, rectification reports, and project handover documents.

Qualifications and Requirements

* Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related field.

* Minimum of five (5) years of relevant work experience in site engineering, interior fit-out, architectural finishing, and/or landscaping projects.

* Proven experience supervising and coordinating site works in Qatar or the GCC is an advantage.

* Must possess a valid Qatar driving license.

* Must be available for local hiring in Qatar.

* Strong knowledge of architectural drawings, construction details, finishing materials, and site execution.

* Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office; knowledge of project scheduling and quantity estimation software is an advantage.

* Good communication, coordination, problem-solving, and leadership skills.

* Ability to manage multiple site activities and work under pressure.

* Must be responsible, organized, proactive, and capable of working independently.

Preferred Skills

* Experience in residential villas, luxury interiors, commercial spaces, and landscaping projects.

* Knowledge of Qatar construction practices, site procedures, and relevant safety requirements.

* Ability to coordinate with multinational workers and subcontractors.

* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

* Willingness to travel between project sites within Qatar.

* Current employment status and expected salary.
