Site Engineer – Longford

An established main contractor is seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join a railway infrastructure project at Longford Railway Station , delivering accessibility upgrade works on behalf of Irish Rail .

This is an excellent opportunity to work on a live railway infrastructure project involving station upgrades, trackside works and associated civil engineering works.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out setting out using GPS and Total Station
• Oversee station accessibility upgrades, trackside works and associated civils
• Interpret engineering drawings, specifications and site plans
• Complete site surveys, measurements and as-built records
• Coordinate with site management, subcontractors and project stakeholders
• Assist with QA/QC documentation and site inspections
• Ensure works meet safety, quality and programme requirements

Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
• Minimum 2 years' Site Engineering experience in Ireland or the UK
• Strong setting out skills essential
• Proficient in GPS and Total Station
• Previous experience on civil engineering, infrastructure or railway projects
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Full driving licence
