SITE CONTROLLER – SCHIPHOL

Location: Schiphol

Employment: 36–40 hours

Salary: €70,000–€75,000 + 5% bonus, including holiday allowance

Are you a Finance professional who wants to get closer to the business?

For a leading international logistics and supply chain organisation, Grafton is looking for an experienced Site Controller for a key location in Schiphol.

This is not a role where you simply report what happened. As Site Controller, you are a financial sparring partner for site leadership and help translate financial information into operational decisions. You understand the numbers, but just as importantly, you understand the story behind them.

What will you do?

As Site Controller, you will work closely with site leadership and other stakeholders to drive financial performance and support business decisions.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Advising site leadership and site managers on financial and controlling matters
• Taking ownership of the full P&L
• Leading month-end and year-end closing activities
• Managing the budgeting and weekly/monthly forecasting processes
• Identifying cost drivers and challenging assumptions where necessary
• Developing and maintaining effective internal controls
• Working closely with international and cross-functional teams
• Supporting operational decision-making with clear financial insight
• Creating and reviewing sales invoices together with site management and customers

In short: you are not just responsible for the numbers. You help the operation understand what the numbers mean and what to do with them.

What do you bring?

We are looking for a proactive and commercially minded Finance professional who enjoys working close to the operation.

You ideally have:

• A bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Economics or a related field
• Around 3–5 years of experience in Finance and/or Controlling
• Experience as a Site Controller, Plant Controller, Business Controller or Finance Business Partner is highly relevant
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Fluent English
• Experience within a 3PL, logistics or other operational environment is an advantage

Most importantly, you are comfortable asking questions, challenging costs and building relationships with operational stakeholders.
