Site Coordinator/Site Supervisor

Job Purpose:

To monitor and coordinate our construction, renovation and maintenance projects from site commencement until completion. The candidate will be responsible for overall site coordination, progress monitoring, workmanship, subcontractor coordination and ensuring works are completed according to drawings, specifications, quality and timeline.

Requirements:

* Must possess a valid PW4 Electrical Competency Certificate.

* Minimum 2–3 years of experience in construction / renovation / M&E / maintenance projects.

* Experience in managing or monitoring multiple project sites is an advantage.

* Able to understand construction drawings and electrical drawings.

* Good knowledge of electrical works and able to monitor electrical installation works.

* Able to coordinate workers, subcontractors and suppliers.

* Good communication and reporting skills.

* Able to work independently and solve site issues.

* Willing to travel to different project sites.

* Valid driving licence.

Main Job Scope:

1. Site & Project Monitoring

* Monitor daily progress of construction and renovation works.

* Ensure projects follow the approved schedule and agreed completion dates.

* Conduct regular site visits and identify delays, defects and site issues.

* Take site photos and provide progress updates to management.

* Ensure work is carried out according to drawings, specifications and approved scope.

2. Contractor & Worker Coordination

* Coordinate subcontractors, workers and suppliers at site.

* Monitor manpower and ensure sufficient workers are deployed.

* Coordinate different trades such as civil, architectural, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, air-conditioning, signage, etc.

* Follow up on outstanding works and ensure rectification is completed.

3. Electrical Works – PW4

* Monitor and coordinate electrical installation works at construction sites.

* Check electrical works against drawings and requirements.

* Coordinate with electricians and electrical subcontractors.

* Assist in troubleshooting and identifying electrical issues.

* Ensure electrical works are carried out safely and in accordance with applicable requirements.

* PW4 competency will be an important requirement for projects involving electrical works.

4. Quality & Safety

* Monitor workmanship and ensure quality standards are maintained.

* Identify defects and ensure rectification is completed.

* Ensure workers follow site safety requirements.

* Monitor proper housekeeping and site cleanliness.

5. Documentation & Reporting

* Prepare daily/weekly site progress reports.

* Record site issues, delays, defects and required actions.

* Maintain site photos and progress records.

* Assist management with site measurements, material requirements and project updates.

* Attend site meetings when required.

6. Project Completion

* Monitor final outstanding works and defects.

* Coordinate testing, rectification and completion.

* Ensure site is ready for client inspection and handover.

* Follow up until the project is fully completed and closed.

Salary: RM3,000 – RM4,500 depending on experience and competency.

Preferred Experience:

Candidates with experience in commercial renovation, retail outlets, construction, maintenance, M&E or fit-out projects are preferred.

Important: PW4 certification is mandatory.
