Site Development Operator

Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and skilled Site Development Operator to join our construction team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for operating heavy machinery, maintaining construction equipment, and supporting site development activities to ensure efficient and safe project progress. Duties

• Operate heavy construction machinery including excavators, loaders, skid steers, backhoes, and equipment to perform excavation, grading, and utility installation tasks.
• Conduct routine maintenance and safety inspections on all construction machinery to ensure optimal performance and compliance with equipment safety procedures.
• Assist with construction utility work by accurately locating underground utilities using utility locating techniques to prevent damage during excavation.
• Support site development activities by preparing the site, managing materials, and coordinating with other team members for efficient workflow.
• Follow federal construction safety regulations and safety regulations to maintain a safe work environment for all personnel on-site.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to execute construction plans, ensuring quality standards are met throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment such as excavators, loaders, backhoes, or similar machinery in a construction environment.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform basic equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of federal construction safety regulations and equipment safety procedures is essential.
• Construction site experience with utility work, excavation, grading, and general construction activities preferred.
• Ability to perform utility locating accurately using appropriate tools and techniques.
• Construction experience demonstrating adherence to safety standards and efficient site operations is highly desirable.

Pay: $24.00 - $29.00 per hour
