SITE ENGINEER (CIVIL)

Department: Projects

Location: Abu Dhabi

Reports To: Construction Manager / Project Manager

Experience: Minimum 3 years in UAE or GCC construction projects. Experience in quantity take-off from drawings and for projects is a must.

Qualification

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
• UAE Driving Licence preferred

Role Purpose

Manage and coordinate day-to-day site construction activities to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.

The Site Engineer serves as the technical link between project management, consultants, and site execution teams.

Key Responsibilities

Site Execution

• Supervise daily construction activities.
• Ensure work is executed according to approved drawings and specifications.
• Coordinate subcontractors and suppliers.
• Monitor construction progress against programme.

Technical Coordination

• Interpret drawings and specifications.
• Resolve technical site issues.
• Coordinate RFIs with consultants.
• Verify quantities and measurements.

Quality Management

• Conduct site inspections.
• Ensure compliance with QA/QC procedures.
• Raise and close NCRs.
• Prepare inspection requests.

Planning & Progress

• Prepare daily progress updates.
• Monitor labour productivity.
• Coordinate material requirements.
• Identify potential delays.

Safety

• Enforce HSE requirements.
• Conduct toolbox talks.
• Report unsafe conditions.
