About the role

Iswarabena Sdn Bhd is seeking a dedicated and experienced Site Engineer to join our Civil/Structural Engineering team. This is a full-time position based in Klang, Selangor. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing construction activities on-site, ensuring that all work is carried out to the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance. The Site Engineer plays a critical role in bridging the gap between project design and on-site execution, directly impacting project timelines, budget adherence, and overall success.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily construction activities to ensure compliance with approved designs, specifications, and project schedules
• Conduct regular site inspections and quality checks to verify that work meets engineering standards and contractual requirements
• Maintain comprehensive site documentation, including progress reports, material records, test certificates, and daily logs
• Liaise between the design team, contractors, and site staff to resolve technical issues and implement design changes
• Monitor and control material deliveries, ensuring that all materials conform to specifications before acceptance on-site
• Manage site safety protocols and coordinate with health and safety personnel to maintain a secure working environment
• Track project progress against schedules and budgets, reporting any deviations to project management
• Perform site surveys and take measurements to verify excavation depths, structural alignments, and dimensional accuracy
• Attend site meetings and prepare technical reports for stakeholders and project teams
• Ensure compliance with local building codes, regulations, and environmental requirements

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline
• Minimum of 2-3 years of site engineering experience in civil or structural construction projects
• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, building materials, and structural systems
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
• Excellent understanding of health and safety regulations and construction standards in Malaysia
• Proficiency in site surveying equipment and software, including theodolites, levels, and CAD applications
• Strong communication and coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders
• Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate site records and documentation
• Problem-solving abilities and the capacity to make sound technical decisions under pressure
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel to various project sites as required
• Preferred: Experience with infrastructure projects, familiarity with BIM (Building Information Modelling), or previous involvement in ISO-certified construction environments
