SITE ENGINEER

About the role

Al-Ambia Sdn Bhd is seeking a dedicated and experienced Site Engineer to join our Civil/Structural Engineering team. This is a full-time position based in Selangor, where you will play a crucial role in overseeing construction activities and ensuring projects are executed to the highest standards of quality, safety and efficiency. As a Site Engineer, you will be the key technical representative on-site, responsible for coordinating between design teams, contractors and stakeholders to deliver successful project outcomes.

What you'll be doing

• Supervising and monitoring all construction activities to ensure compliance with approved designs, specifications and quality standards
• Conducting regular site inspections and documenting progress through daily reports, photographs and site records
• Coordinating with contractors, suppliers and sub-contractors to ensure timely delivery of materials and adherence to project schedules
• Managing site safety protocols and ensuring all health and safety regulations are strictly followed by all personnel on-site
• Identifying and resolving technical issues and defects during construction, liaising with the design team as required
• Maintaining accurate site records, including progress documentation, test certificates, delivery notes and quality assurance reports
• Conducting material testing and quality inspections to verify compliance with specifications
• Preparing site progress reports and communicating project status to project managers and clients
• Managing site logistics, including equipment placement, access routes and temporary facilities
• Ensuring environmental and regulatory compliance throughout the construction process

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering from a recognised institution
• Minimum 3–5 years of site engineering experience in civil or structural construction projects
• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, building codes, standards and regulations in Malaysia
• Proficiency in using site management software and tools for documentation and reporting
• Excellent understanding of construction drawings, specifications and technical documentation
• Proven ability to communicate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel between project sites as needed
• Professional registration with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) or Professional Technologist status is highly desirable
• Experience with quality assurance and safety management systems is preferred
