Site Engineer

About the role

This role involves supervising daily site activities for repair and maintenance works, renovations, fit-out projects, and new construction. You will conduct site inspections, assess existing conditions, and ensure all works comply with approved plans, specifications, quality standards, and applicable building codes.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily site activities for repair and maintenance works, renovations, fit-out projects, and new construction.

• Conduct site inspections and assess existing conditions prior to project implementation.

• Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with approved plans, specifications, quality standards, and applicable building codes.

• Coordinate with clients, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and project teams to ensure smooth project execution.

• Monitor project progress, productivity, workmanship, and material usage.

• Identify and resolve technical issues, site constraints, and construction-related concerns.

• Prepare work schedules, daily accomplishment reports, inspection reports, and other project documentation.

• Verify quantities, monitor material deliveries, and ensure proper utilization of resources.

• Ensure compliance with occupational safety, health, and environmental regulations.

• Supervise and lead general foremen, skilled workers, and subcontractors to achieve project objectives.

• Assist in project planning, cost estimation, and coordination during project implementation.

• Ensure timely completion of punch list items, repairs, and project close-out activities.

  Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Architectural Engineering.

• Licensed Civil Engineer or Registered and Licensed Architectural Engineer is an advantage but not required.

• At least 3–5 years of experience in building repair and maintenance, commercial renovations, fit-out works, and/or new construction projects.

• Strong knowledge of construction methods, repair techniques, finishing works, and generally accepted construction practices.

• Proven experience in site supervision, contractor coordination, and project execution.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (MS Excel, MS Word, and Outlook) for reporting and documentation.

• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documents.

• Strong leadership, communication, planning, and problem-solving skills.

• Capable of supervising multiple work crews and coordinating several ongoing projects simultaneously.

• Willing to travel to various project sites as required.
