Site Engineer

Purpose of the Position:

• Oversee project build phase, interact with client and build teams to successfully complete projects on planned timelines
• Report progress, updates and issues to ROM
• Observe mission and core values of client and demonstrate a quality service to others

Key Responsibilities

• Familiarize and apply OS M&P's and Technical Standards (TI)
• Clarify and adhere to OS processes
• Align on QA& EHS standards
• Attend and arrange meetings with client (Openserve)
• Attend and arrange meetings with client management and client team if required
• Attend and arrange meetings with SP, clients, residents, HOA
• Ensure project 'kick- off' happens as planned
• Determine required standards upfront icw HOA’s /CR/SE.
• Provide guidance (technical and other) during and completion phases of project build and Support SP and Openserve as and when required
• Familiarise with 'Clock Stop' process and apply when required
• Issue site instructions for any variation and re-assess timelines
• Ensure material delay issues are resolved timeously by parties involved
• Build to specification as per approved HLP/LLP from PLO
• Ensure contractor EHS and Safety files are in place before site kickoff
• Monitor SP performance and issue SI’s for delays, trigger 'back on track' plans and penalties as required relative to the Technical Specifications of client.
• Assist SP with any access or build issues and get relevant parties involved to help resolve if needed
• Do EHS inspections during build phase to measure contractor
• Ensure project progress is updated on ISDP and tract progress on own report per site

Skills & Experience

• At least 3 years of experience from the relevant area within the telecoms industry, preferably within client & other fixed and mobile operators.
• Experience in telecoms project management and contractor management across multiple sites.
• Background in telecommunication and experience of project management for operators in the local country.
• Telecommunications or engineering degree or relevant qualification
