Job Summary

The Site Engineer (Mechanical) is responsible for planning, supervising, and executing mechanical installation activities at project sites. The role involves ensuring quality workmanship, adherence to project specifications, compliance with safety standards, coordination with contractors and clients, and timely completion of assigned activities.

Key Responsibilities

Project Execution

• Supervise mechanical installation activities including piping, equipment erection, fabrication, HVAC, utility systems, and commissioning.
• Interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and project requirements.
• Ensure mechanical works are executed in accordance with approved drawings and quality standards.
• Monitor daily site activities and maintain progress records.

Site Coordination

• Coordinate with mechanical, civil, electrical, instrumentation, and other project teams for smooth execution.
• Liaise with contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and client representatives.
• Attend site meetings and provide progress updates.

Quality Control

• Ensure compliance with project quality plans and inspection requirements.
• Conduct site inspections and coordinate inspections with clients/consultants.
• Identify and rectify non-conformities and quality issues.

Planning & Reporting

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
• Track material consumption and site requirements.
• Assist in project scheduling and resource planning.
• Monitor project milestones and highlight delays or risks.

Safety & Compliance

• Ensure strict adherence to HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) regulations.
• Conduct toolbox talks and safety awareness sessions.
• Report incidents, hazards, and unsafe conditions promptly.
• Ensure compliance with company and client safety standards.

Commissioning & Handover

• Support testing and commissioning activities.
• Prepare punch lists and closure reports.
• Assist in project handover documentation and client acceptance procedures.

Educational Qualification

• B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.

Experience

• 1-4 years of relevant site execution experience .
• Fresher can also apply.
• Experience in industrial, manufacturing, MEP, infrastructure, EPC.

Required Skills

• Knowledge of mechanical systems, equipment installation, and commissioning.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and technical documents.
• Project coordination and resource management skills.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Proficiency in MS Office and project documentation.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of safety standards and quality systems.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with MEP projects.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD and project management software.
• Knowledge of ISO standards and HSE practices.
