Site Engineer

• Supervise and coordinate all Civil & Structural (C&S) construction activities on site.
• Ensure construction works are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and project schedules.
• Work with Site Manager and prepare a method statement, construction methodology, shop drawing, materials, samples and submit to the Consultant for review and approval prior to the commencement of any construction activities.
• Monitor site progress and ensure project milestones are achieved within the stipulated timeframe.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards and construction requirements.
• Coordinate with consultants, clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and relevant authorities on technical and site matters.
• Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
• Resolve technical issues and provide engineering solutions to site construction challenges.
• Ensure proper implementation of quality control procedures and inspection requirements.
• Monitor material usage, workmanship, quality, and productivity on site.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly site progress reports.
• Attend site meetings and provide updates on project status, technical matters, and resource requirements.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and statutory requirements.
• Assist in planning manpower, equipment, and material resources for effective project execution.
• Verify completed works for progress claims and handover requirements.
• Coordinate testing, inspections, and commissioning activities related to Civil & Structural works.
• Identify potential project risks and recommend corrective actions to minimize delays and cost overruns.
• Knowledge of CONQUAS, QLASSIC, CIDB requirements, Malaysian construction standards, and 5S is an advantage.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Management or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in Civil & Structural construction projects.
• Good knowledge of construction methodologies, structural works, and engineering practices.
• Ability to write a method statement and update of the work progress.
• Ability to read, interpret, and coordinate Construction drawings and specifications.
• Familiarity with local regulations, construction standards, and authority requirements.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or equivalent} will be an added advantage.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project coordination skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Possession of a valid driving licence is preferred.
