Site Engineer

Greville Consulting is currently seeking Site Engineers to join a major infrastructure project in Adelaide.

This is an opportunity for a motivated Site Engineer to join an experienced project team and play a key role in supporting day-to-day construction delivery. You will work closely with supervisors, construction teams and project stakeholders, providing hands-on engineering support across a complex and highly coordinated project environment.

The role would suit engineers with experience across major infrastructure, heavy civil construction, underground works or complex construction projects. Previous experience working around TBMs or large-scale tunnelling projects is highly regarded but is not essential. 

The Opportunity
As a Site Engineer, you will support the delivery of daily construction activities while working closely with the wider project team to ensure works are coordinated, documented and delivered efficiently.
You will be involved across a broad range of site engineering activities, from coordinating construction teams and resolving issues through to temporary works, procurement, QA and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day engineering support to construction and site teams
• Coordinate with supervisors and construction crews to support project delivery
• Assist with troubleshooting and resolving construction issues
• Support temporary works and construction methodologies
• Coordinate procurement, materials and site requirements
• Complete QA documentation, inspections and engineering records
• Prepare shift reports and maintain accurate project documentation
• Review drawings, plans and technical information
• Monitor construction activities against project requirements
• Support safe, efficient and productive site operations

Skills & Experience

• Degree qualified in Civil, Mining, Geotechnical Engineering or a related discipline
• Ideally 3-5+ years site engineering experience
• Experience working on major infrastructure or heavy civil construction projects
• Underground, tunnelling or TBM experience highly regarded but not essential
• Strong understanding of construction processes and site delivery
• Comfortable working in a hands-on site environment
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with supervisors, engineers and construction teams
• Willing and able to work 12-hour shifts on a 7/3/7/3 roster, including both day and night shifts
• Adelaide-based candidates preferred, with interstate candidates willing to temporarily relocate also encouraged to apply
