Site Engineer

About the role

Nakano Singapore (Pte) Ltd is seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join our Construction and Engineering team. This is a full-time position for an upcoming project in the Kent Ridge Central Region. As a Site Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing construction activities on-site, ensuring projects are executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all relevant standards and regulations. This role is critical to the successful delivery of our engineering projects and offers the opportunity to make a tangible impact on Singapore's built environment.

Job Descriptions:

• To coordinate with consultants/subcontractors on the shop drawings/samples/method statements and keep all involved parties updated of the latest changes.
• To attend to project/technical meeting and resolve site issues with owner/consultants in order for the site progress to proceed smoothly.
• To verify the work done on site are in accordance to the approved drawings/specifications/authorities requirement and also ensured that the subcontractor carry out rectification for non-compliance.
• To resolve site issues with consultants/subcontractor/supplier ASAP in order to minimize delay to the construction progress.
• To ensure that the related documentations are updated and ready for ISO, Green Mark audit etc.
• To cooperate with the safety department and carry out the assigned duties within the safety framework.
• Assist site management team in project Planning & coordination.
• Plan and schedule work sequences for construction operation.
• Arrange and prepare documents for authorities’ submission for Conquas, Green Mark, BScore, CSscore, RI, TOP etc.
• To study tender / construction drawings, specifications, and contracts to understand project requirements.
• Understanding of critical project criteria related to schedule & productivity.

Job Requirements:

• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Building Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Candidates with relevant construction experience will have an added advantage.
• Basic understanding of construction methods, site supervision, and project coordination.
• Knowledge of shop drawing review, material submissions, and construction documentation is an advantage.
• Must be a team player and ability to work in a cross-functional team environment.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Able to work independently, proactive and self-motivated.
• Experience working with a Main Contractor is preferred.
