Site Engineer

About the role

ARM Consulting Structural Engineers is seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join our team in Jambi City, Jambi. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in the successful delivery of our civil and structural engineering projects. As a Site Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing construction activities on-site, ensuring that projects are executed in accordance with design specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. This role is instrumental in maintaining quality control, managing timelines, and serving as the primary point of contact between our design office and construction teams.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor all construction activities on-site to ensure compliance with approved design drawings and specifications
• Conduct daily site inspections and maintain comprehensive site records, including progress reports and photographic documentation
• Manage quality assurance and quality control procedures, identifying and addressing any deviations from project specifications
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure efficient project delivery and resource management
• Prepare and submit regular progress reports to senior management and stakeholders
• Conduct site safety audits and ensure all personnel adhere to health and safety regulations and company policies
• Liaise between the design team and on-site construction teams to resolve technical queries and implement design changes
• Verify material deliveries and conduct testing to confirm compliance with project specifications
• Manage site documentation, including as-built drawings, test certificates, and completion records
• Assist in cost monitoring and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements without compromising quality

What we're looking for

• Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline
• Minimum of 3-5 years' experience as a Site Engineer or in a similar on-site supervisory role within civil or structural engineering projects
• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, building materials, and structural principles
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications
• Excellent understanding of building codes, safety standards, and regulatory requirements applicable in Indonesia
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with diverse teams, including contractors, engineers, and clients
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and site management software
• Problem-solving mindset with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure
• Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel to project sites as required
• Preferably holds relevant certifications such as NEBOSH or other occupational health and safety qualifications
