Site Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day civil construction activities at the project site.
• Ensure construction work is executed as per approved drawings, specifications and quality standards.
• Read and interpret structural/civil drawings, BOQs and technical documents.
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, labourers, architects and consultants.
• Monitor manpower, materials, equipment and overall site utilisation.
• Conduct quality checks for reinforcement, shuttering, concreting, masonry and other civil works.
• Monitor project progress and ensure activities are completed within the planned schedule.
• Take site measurements and maintain daily/weekly progress reports.
• Check material quality, quantity, storage and consumption at site.
• Identify and resolve technical and site-level issues in coordination with the project team.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures, PPE requirements and site regulations.
• Maintain site records, inspection reports, drawings and other project documentation.

Preferred candidate profile

• B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Civil Engineering.
• 3 - 6 years of experience in civil construction/site execution; freshers can also be considered.
• Good knowledge of construction methods, materials and site execution.
• Ability to read and understand civil/structural drawings and BOQs.
• Basic knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Excel.
• Knowledge of quantity surveying, estimation and billing will be an advantage.
• Strong communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to work at construction/project sites.
