Site Engineer

About the role

The Site Engineer is responsible for overseeing and coordinating engineering and construction activities at the project site. The position ensures that work is completed according to approved plans, specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and project schedules.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor daily construction and engineering activities at the site
• Ensure work is carried out according to approved plans, drawings, specifications, and project requirements
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, engineers, architects, suppliers, and site workers
• Monitor the progress of work and ensure activities are completed according to schedule
• Conduct regular site inspections to identify construction issues, defects, and discrepancies
• Review and interpret engineering drawings, plans, specifications, and technical documents
• Ensure construction activities comply with approved specifications and quality standards
• Inspect materials and workmanship delivered to the site
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly site progress reports
• Ensure that site activities are performed in accordance with company safety policies and applicable safety regulations

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering field
• At least 1–3 years of relevant site or construction experience
• Strong knowledge of engineering drawings, construction methods, and project specifications
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
• Good understanding of construction safety and quality standards
• Strong communication and coordination skills
• Good problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Willing to work on-site and conduct regular site inspections
• Able to work under pressure and meet project deadlines
• Licensed Engineer is preferred, particularly for positions requiring professional engineering responsibilities
