Site Engineer

Role Summar y

Space Matrix is seeking a Junior Project / Site Engineer to support project delivery, site supervision,

documentation and regulatory compliance across its UAE fit-out projects.

The successful candidate will support Space Matrix’s engineering and contractor registration

requirements across the UAE and must hold the relevant professional registrations and approvals

required by applicable authorities, including a valid UAE Society of Engineers

membership/card and applicable Dubai Municipality registration.

Key Responsibilities  Attend active project sites every second day / as required and act as a junior site

representative.

 Monitor construction activities, workmanship, progress and general site conditions.

 Coordinate with subcontractors and report site issues, delays and requirements to the Project

Manager.

 Maintain and control project documentation, including drawings, RFIs, material submissions,

inspections, method statements, HSE and QA/QC records.

 Prepare weekly project, HSE and QA/QC reports, including photographic progress updates.

 Assist with site inspections, snagging, quality control and project close-out.

 Support authority submissions and compliance requirements as directed by the Project

Manager.

 Identify HSE, quality and technical issues and escalate them promptly.

 Assist the Project Manager with day-to-day project coordination and administration.

Development & Training As a junior position, the successful candidate will work directly under the Project Manager and

receive ongoing training and mentoring in Space Matrix’s fit-out, design-and-build, documentation,

HSE, QA/QC, authority and project management requirements.

The objective is to develop the individual into a capable Project/Site Engineer who can

independently support Space Matrix projects and its UAE regulatory and contractor

requirements.

Minimum Requirements  Recognised Engineering Degree/qualification.

 Relevant UAE professional and authority registrations required for the role, including

Society of Engineers and applicable Municipality registration.

 Basic understanding of construction/fit-out practices and drawings.

 Good English communication and reporting skills.

 Strong organisational and documentation skills.

 Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

 UAE driving licence preferred.
